Xavier University, Patna celebrated Patron’s Day at Kalam Hall with reverence and vibrant participation, honouring the legacy of St. Francis Xavier.
The event began with an introduction, the college anthem, and the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a floral tribute and a symbolic procession highlighting values of compassion, faith, and service.
The Registrar delivered a welcome address reinforcing the university’s commitment to Jesuit ideals. Students staged a drama titled “The Light that Transforms,” depicting the inspiring life of St. Francis Xavier, after which Chief Guest Mr. Glen Gaulston and Special Guest Ms. Margaret Gwada from UNICEF encouraged students to embrace humility, leadership, and social responsibility. A documentary on the saint, along with a feast song and praise dance, added devotional charm.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to excellence and human values.
