St. Xavier’s College Patna organized a Student Development Programme for final-year students, featuring leadership and career-readiness training by experts from St. Joseph’s Institute of Management, Bengaluru.. The programme aimed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to excel in today’s competitive corporate environment.
The session began with a warm welcome extended by Fr. Dr. Sherry George SJ, Vice Principal, who greeted the resource persons and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement for future managers and leaders.
The SDP was conducted by Dr. Deepika Joshi and Dr. Komal D’Souza from St. Joseph’s Institute of Management, Bengaluru. Through an engaging and interactive session, they addressed key themes such as leadership development, career planning, and the essential competencies needed in the corporate world. They also introduced students to their institution’s academic philosophy and training methodologies, highlighting how a structured, value-based approach shapes corporate readiness.
Dr. Joshi and Dr. D’Souza discussed the significance of resilience, effective communication, adaptability, and a proactive outlook, stressing that these qualities are indispensable for success in professional life. They shared practical strategies for building managerial confidence, improving decision-making, and enhancing overall career preparedness.
The programme was organized by the Placement Cell under the leadership of Dr. Piyush R. Sahay, Head of the Placement Cell, along with the dedicated Placement Cell members. Their coordinated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event, which was highly appreciated by the students.
