St. Xavier’s College of Management & Technology, Patna, successfully organized an online Student Development Program titled “Start-up Readiness and Growth Strategies for Students” for Part III students on 25 February 2026 under the guidance of the Placement Cell. The program was designed to equip students with entrepreneurial knowledge, career readiness skills, and practical strategies essential for succeeding in today’s competitive business landscape.
The session was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Piyush Ranjan Sahay, Head, Placement Cell, Xavier University, Patna, whose continuous initiatives focus on enhancing employability and fostering entrepreneurial competence among students. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Mario Martin, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, who formally welcomed the distinguished resource person and participants.
The expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Umesh Shrivastava, an accomplished academician and entrepreneurship practitioner. He presented an insightful and engaging session that effectively connected theoretical concepts with real-world entrepreneurial experiences. Emphasizing the importance of skill development, innovation-driven thinking, research-oriented learning, and industry exposure, Dr. Shrivastava highlighted these elements as key pillars of start-up readiness and sustainable career growth.
He further encouraged students to cultivate strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, leadership qualities, and strategic thinking—skills that are crucial for aspiring entrepreneurs.
