Patna, Bihar:
The Janata Dal (United), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has officially released its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Election 2025. The list was unveiled on Wednesday after several rounds of intense discussions within the party and the NDA alliance regarding seat-sharing arrangements.
According to JDU sources, the selection reflects a balance between experience and youth, featuring a mix of sitting MLAs and new faces. The party leadership reportedly focused on candidates with strong local connections and a record of public service to enhance its grassroots appeal.
This move marks a significant step for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as it prepares for a high-stakes electoral battle against the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance). The announcement also indicates that the seat-sharing talks between JDU, BJP, and other allies are nearing completion.
JDU leaders believe that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the party will continue to emphasize development, good governance, and social harmony — key themes that have defined Bihar’s political narrative in recent years.
The next list of candidates is expected to be announced soon as the party gears up for campaign rallies and voter outreach programs across the state. With this development, the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 season has officially gained momentum, signaling an intense political face-off in the coming weeks.
