The Placement Cell of St. Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Patna successfully organised a career counselling session titled “MBA, Job or Entrepreneurship – Making the Right Career Move After Graduation” during the 2nd period, from 9:50 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The session aimed to guide students in making informed, practical, and strategic career decisions after graduation.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Piyush R. Sahay, Head of the Placement Cell, who formally welcomed the resource person from IILM University, Greater Noida. Dr. Sahay encouraged students to actively participate in the session and make the most of such career-oriented initiatives. He emphasized the importance of choosing a career path aligned with one’s strengths, interests, and long-term goals, and urged students to begin planning their futures with clarity and confidence.
The session was conducted by Dr. Ekta Saraswat, an accomplished academician from IILM University, Greater Noida, with extensive expertise in finance and management. She shared valuable insights into various post-graduation pathways, including pursuing an MBA, entering the job market, and exploring entrepreneurial opportunities.
Dr. Saraswat highlighted the significance of self-assessment, understanding personal interests, identifying individual strengths and skill sets, and aligning career choices with long-term professional aspirations. She also discussed current industry expectations, emerging career trends, and the growing importance of skill development in enhancing employability and career growth.
